AAC for Life: Pathways to Independence and Connection for Autistic Teens and Adults WEBINAR (with Autism Speaks)

This presentation explores how Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) serves as a vital pathway to independence and social connection for autistic teens and adults. Going beyond basic needs, we will discuss how to customize AAC systems for adult life—including vocabulary for employment, individual needs, and self-advocacy. Attendees will learn practical strategies for navigating transition planning, securing funding, and becoming supportive communication partners who presume competence in every user.
