TASK is now offering webinars.
We will be offering several webinars during the 2014-2015 grant year on both assistive technology and special education related-topics. Our next webinar will be:

  • Wed., March 25, 2015, 10:00-11:30 am: Apps for Students with Autism.  We will introduce applications with the following areas: video modeling, social skills, vocabulary building, language development, communication and more. Join us for a fun, fast-paced online session. You must register online in advance to participate in the webinar. REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR THIS WEBINAR. TASK can also offer webinars for your agency.
Disability and education-related agencies in southern California may be interested in hosting or broadcasting a TASK webinar. If this is something your agency would be interested in, please contact us at (714) 533-8275. Please note that to host a webinar, you must meet the following minimum technical requirements:

  • Computer (laptop or desktop) with high speed Internet connection

  • Speakers

  • Microphone (if you do not have a microphone, questions for the presenter can be asked via the webinar software's chat window)

  • If you are expecting more than four or five attendees viewing the webinar in a conference room or classroom setting, we strongly recommend that you have a projector of some kind that you can connect to the computer. Depending on the size of the room and the number of attendees, you may also need additional speakers, especially if you are using a laptop computer.

Please note that you will also need to install software on your computer in order to view the webinar. You will need to install the software AT LEAST one day before the webinar to insure that it is working properly.
